Tennessee Department of Corrections: Department of corrections reentry program for the state of Tennessee.


Building Entrepreneurs For Success in Tennessee (BEST): A six month, 30 hours/week program in prison designed to provide opportunities for personal development and transformation, then teach business and entrepreneurial skills to better equip individuals for successful reentry into the community after incarceration and reduce recidivism. Each participant creates their own business plan, becomes a Toastmaster Competent Communicator and meets a wide variety of business and community leaders.

Chosen Vessel Ministries: We provide long-term mentoring, therapeutic addictions treatment and recovery support services to formerly incarcerated women.  Mentoring services begin pre-release and continue post-release.  The overall goal is to help the woman, and her family, eliminate barriers to successful community reintegration.   Our agency is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to provide outpatient substance abuse treatment and outpatient mental health services.  Our services are gender-specific (women only) and trauma-informed.  We use evidence-based materials are used.

CONNECT Ministries – Cities of Refuge is an exceptional network of churches, businesses, non-profits and employers and other resources/service providers who are willing to walk alongside men, women and children who have fallen on hard times and need the love and support of people who believe in restoration, forgiveness, and second chances.

Father’s House Transitional Housing Emergency Shelter for Men – The Emergency Shelter program is designed to offer a temporary shelter opportunity to homeless men. It is a “dry shelter” in that guests are not allowed to use alcohol or drugs.

Forgiveness House-Residential Prison Re-Entry Program for Males – Provides 3-6 month transitional living and learning center for men leaving prison that includes clean and affordable housing, meals, transportation and job placement.

HUGGS Life Addiction Recovery Program – it provides Strategies and Techniques, Stages of Relapse, Group Support and Individual Support. There is also HUGGS Life Intensive Outpatient Program which provides Safety seeking skills, Motivational Interviewing Technique, Behavioral Cognitive, Approach Group and Sessions Individual Sessions.

Hosanna House– the Hosanna House for Women is sponsored by the United Way. Established in 2002, the Hosanna House provides recovery and rehabilitation for 14 female offenders who have been placed in the program by the sentencing judge.

Lighthouse Mission Ministries – Back to Work Program – Fresh Start is a ministry to women struggling with addiction. Founded by Pastor Peggy Bowie, a trained Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, the ministry provides safe shelter and recovery support services to women at its Memphis, Tennessee location.

Memphis and Shelby County Office of Re-Entry – Memphis & Shelby County Office of Re-entry is a collaborative effort to aide offenders with the tools necessary to ensure their successful community re-entry with family, employment and education.

Men of Valor Aftercare/Reentry Program – Prisoners participating in Men of Valor are released into a yearlong Bible-based Aftercare/Re-Entry program aimed at giving them the support, skills and accountability they need to succeed in the community.  We help our residents with employment, but we are not a job resource for men who are not participating in our program.

Project Return Programs – Project Return works with people who have been convicted of felonies or serious misdemeanors and were recently released from incarceration. Project Return’s primary focus is employment, and they wrap that around with a full array of signature services and support. They operate an award-winning transitional employment program, “PROe”, which stands for Project Return Opportunities for Employment. Their work is infused with the commitment of Project Return to every person’s humanity and dignity, as they return to society and leave prison behind.

Rehabilitative Services is committed to providing every offender with the opportunity to lead successful and productive lives through cognitive changes. Once his/her sentence is served, it is the department’s goal to empower each ex-offender with skills necessary to re-enter society as an asset to the community.

Tennessee Prison Outreach Ministry – The Tennessee Prison Outreach Ministry is the first statewide ministry that offers programming for the incarcerated, returning citizens and children of the incarcerated. We are holistic, addressing the spiritual, emotional, social and economic needs of those impacted by incarceration.

Tennessee Offender Re-entry : Resource Web site provides a central repository of information on nonprofit, faith-based, government and for-profit community service agencies in and around the Middle Tennessee area, each sharing the same mission to serve ex-offenders and their families. The site offers a directory of services designed to aid practitioners who provide support and guidance to those individuals seeking a successful transition from incarceration to the community.

Tennessee Reentry Services: The Correctional Release Centers will provide services to offenders that are rooted in evidence-based practices and address the offender’s needs as identified by the LS/CMI, a validated risk/needs assessment.

Transformation Project – Our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by working to transform the lives of addiction-related offenders and their families through the power of God, thereby reducing recidivism.
