801-691-LIFE (5433)– The Utah County Crisis Line offers help 24/7 to any individual facing any crisis. By listening carefully, the Crisis Line workers empathize and appropriately direct callers to those who can provide long-term solutions.
Career One Stop is a website sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor. It contains tools designed to help those seeking gainful employment. There is a search engine on the website that allows visitors to locate potential job opportunities. It also contains some tools to enable individuals to create their own resume and cover letter to send to potential employers.
Foundation for Family Life has a variety of programs designed to help ex-offenders transition back into society. Foundation for Family Life has a mentoring service offering experienced mentors to provide counsel and assist ex-offenders in returning to society. This organization also offers transitional housing. Ex-offenders can receive educational guidance and substance abuse treatment. This organization also helps clients find temporary employment.
Golden Spike Re-entry Assistance Program (ReAP) provides housing for qualified applicants. A key requirement for the program is that participants must be on probation through Adult Probation & Parole (AP&P). We offer Job Coaching, Resume building, Job search, Interview skills, and Interview clothes. We offer One on One Mentoring that can actually begin while incarcerated, resources for Counseling and Recovery classes. The Utah County ReAP program also provides safe housing, case management, life skills, mentoring and accountability for those that are coming out of incarceration and are AP&P. We have resources around us where we send them for job related skills.
UCJC Adult Offenders Reentry Project:it has a re-entry initiative that provides an overview of promising reentry practices for adult, general offenders exiting prison and includes a systems assessment of current state of Utah Department of Corrections (UDC) reentry programs and processes.
United Way 2-1-1– 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember telephone number that connects people with important community services and volunteer opportunities.
Utah County Reentry Resource – This website is maintained by the Transition Skills Program at the Utah County Jail to provide information and resources for people who are rebuilding their lives after incarceration.
